Red Chairs...

I am always amazed by Gabrielle's vivid memory. The other day in the car she said "mommy I remember that place with the red chairs". I asked her where? She said "it wasn't at our house, it was at that place where everyone was crying and I got to hand out the Angel pins". At Elijah's funeral service she handed out Angel pins with a poem to our immediate family members (Elijah has the same pin with him on his blanket). Anyway she was referring to the red velvet covered chairs we sat it at the graveside service. How in the world did she remember that they were red? She is so observant. Today she drew a picture of 3 people and I asked her if it was her, daddy and me and she said no it was her, Elijah and me. She is so loving to her baby brother who she doesn't even get to know in this lifetime. I know that she has a special bond with him even though he is not with us. I wish so badly that they would have been able to meet in his short time here. It breaks my heart. She has such a love for God and Jesus that I know she will be in heaven too some day and her brother will be so excited for the love she always showed him even though he was not here with us.
